Emergency services radiation safety training

The emergency services, including Ambulance Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART), Fire and Rescue Services, and Police specialist units, may be required to respond to radiation incidents, such as transport accidents, fires involving radioactive materials, or suspected radiological threats. Effective response relies on specialist training to ensure teams can assess hazards, manage contamination risks, and protect themselves and the public. At Supanova, we can provide practical, hands-on radiation safety training designed specifically for emergency responders. Our courses cover: understanding dose rates and contamination hazards, using radiation detection and monitoring equipment, personal dosimetry and exposure control, incident assessment and response strategies and decontamination procedures. Our training ensures emergency personnel are confident, competent, and prepared to handle radiation-related incidents safely and effectively.
