Earlier this year Supanova delivered its first large-group Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) course for the University of Nottingham.

The course was run in a hybrid format, so everyone completed a bit of e-learning before coming along for a day of practical exercises and workshops.

We like to make the practical sessions as hands-on as possible using Safe Training Systems simulation sources and monitors (which are fantastic). The RPSs had to deal with Jeff's contaminated leg, track down a radioactive source that had been lost by a physics professor, and assess an X-ray generator that turned out to be producing some suspicious readings (all entirely fictitious of course!). There were also some impressive arts and crafts skills on display as the RPSs were tasked with building their X-ray systems from scratch.

Thanks very much to the University for having us.

Here are a few photos from the day.

If you're looking for RPS training for your organisation, whether it's for one person or a whole team, feel free to get in touch.
