Supanova is a UK-based radiation safety consultancy offering its services nationwide. We specialise in supporting employers working with ionising radiation, offering radiation protection advice, conducting radiological surveys, assisting with decommissioning, and radioactive waste management. We also provide radiation safety training, including Radiation Awareness and Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) courses. We serve a wide range of sectors. Joel Garner, Ph.D.
With over a decade of experience in the world of radiation protection, Joel began his career with a Ph.D. in radiochemistry, publishing research in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Environmental Radioactivity. Following this, he spent eight years working as a consultant for a leading radiation protection service before assuming his current role as a Specialist Adviser in Radiation Protection at the University of Cambridge*. Joel has experience providing radiation protection advice to most sectors and is a qualified Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) and Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA).​ Joel is accredited under the RPA2000 scheme (click below to view his certificates):
